About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable seasoned Payroll professional to complete end-to-end payroll processes for the business. This role requires a strong focus on interpreting awards and agreements to ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CFO and working alongside another Payroll Officer, the role will include but not be limited to:
- Process end-to-end payroll for 400+ employees on a fortnightly basis.
- Accurately interpret and apply awards, enterprise agreements, and employment contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Fair Work Act requirements.
- Calculate and process employee entitlements, including leave, overtime, and allowances.
- Investigate and resolve payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare payroll reports and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain seamless operations.
- Stay updated on legislative changes affecting payroll and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar end to end Payroll position as well as the following attributes:
- A sound knowledge / prior experience interpreting various EBAs and awards
- Keen eye for detail and strong attention to detail
- A passionate and positive 'can do' attitude
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
