Position Description
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a team of 10, you will be responsible for:
- Processing payroll end to end for approximately 5000 employees split amongst two pay runs
- Alternating between fortnightly & monthly pay runs alongside another Senior Payroll Officer
- PAYG, Workcover and Superannuation payments
- Ensure employment records, pay rates, allowances, and entitlements align with applicable awards, agreements, and company policies.
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Calculating redundancies
- Payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Additional tasks to assist the broader team
The Successful Candidate
To be a success in this role you will possess:
- Extensive prior experience in a similar payroll focussed role within a medium/large scale organisation.
- Previous experience using SAP Successfactors would be highly regarded
- Understanding of and experience interpreting Awards/EBAs
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- A demonstrated ability to communicate complex matters in a simplified manner
- Forward thinking mindset with a keen desire to lead change
- Strong stakeholder management skills with clear communication techniques
