The Role

My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will provide critical financial insights to support key decision-making processes and drive financial performance across various business units. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the financial health of the organisation, delivering accurate reporting and financial strategies that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyse management accounts for multiple business units, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business goals and strategic decisions.
  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial guidance and insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Drive the development and implementation of financial models and reports to aid business performance analysis.
  • Review and monitor financial performance, identifying trends and variances and offering recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve reporting capabilities.
The Successful Candidate 
  • CA or CPA qualified 
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a large, complex organisation or experience working in a chartered environment 
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience with financial systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements
