Currently, they are seeking a Senior Food Scientist with a focus on value engineering to join their Australian business.
About the Role
As a Senior Food Scientist, you will be a key member of the research and development team responsible for enhancing food products to meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and safety. You will play a pivotal role in leading multiple projects focusing on product development, process improvements, cost optimization, and margin enhancement. From conceptualization and recipe development to trials, factory validation, and commercial production, this role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in executing the innovation pipeline and adhering to project management principles.
To succeed in this role, you will need to influence and drive the innovation agenda, conduct market research, and identify improvement opportunities for the business within R&D and throughout the factory.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Food Science or related Science disciplines.
- Proven experience in FMCG product development (ideally 5-10 years).
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, commercially driven food manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated project management and value engineering experience.
