About the role 
An exciting newly-created role with a global, industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior ESG Finance Analyst position will work with sustainability and data owners globally to collate, analyse and report on the organisations's ESG metrics. Furthermore, this role will be pivotal in integrating those ESG metrics into insightful financial analysis and aid in the overall decision-making process. This is a permanent, full-time role based in the Sydney CBD (2 days work-from-home available).

The responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Provide strategic insights based on ESG data to inform corporate sustainability initiatives; helping to align business goals with ESG objectives.
  • Collate, analyse and interpret ESG-related data & metrics to understand and track performance
  • Conduct data analysis & utilise your financial modelling capabilities to produce detailed reports & dashboards that summarise ESG metrics
  • Lead process and system improvements in sustainability data globally; both from a consolidation perspective (including overall data governance and assurance) but also in supporting and business partnering with regional teams.
  • Assist in driving readiness activities for the new Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS); including various projects identified as part of the organisation's adoption-gap analysis.
  • Be responsible for the collation and consolidation of sustainability data used in / for external reporting
  • Be involved in projects to improve processes or improve operational performance
  • Leverage skills and experience across the team and act as support for team members during peak periods and leave management
The successful applicant will have 
Ideally, you will be a Finance & Accounting degree-qualified professional with a personal passion and affinity for all things sustainability! You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy collaboration and of course any prior hands-on experience working with ESG will be considered highly advantageous.
