Due to a recent growth phase, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team immediately. This will initially be a 6 month contract with the view to go permanent!

Job Description
Partnering with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties;
  • Managing the invoices by entering the details and allocating them.
  • Accounts Payable projects
  • Ensure that at the end of the month that the Superannuation & Payroll Tax are paid as required.
  • Ensure that the BAS information is entered & paid monthly.
  • Undertake a reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Purchasing of foreign currency & management of FX accounts
  • Provide financial reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Review and update the depreciation report each month and ensure all figures entered are correct and accurate.
  • Manage annual leave, long service leave journals and accruals and FBT each month.
  • Balance AP & AR to the general ledger for end of the month
  • Assist and collate any reports or additional information that has been requested by the Accountants to help with the end of financial year. 
  • Assisting the Financial Auditor with the end of financial year information as required.
  • Following up any outstanding payments from Debtors.
  • Participate in external and internal audit processes and implement corrective actions in response to audit findings.
  • Actively support, encourage and participate in continuous improvement with Opportunity for Improvement

  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • An established bookkeeping skill set and strong understanding of financial and accounting processes
  • Sound knowledge in excel and financial management software
