The Opportunity
An open opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join a supportive organisation on a contract basis with an ASAP start date. This role is working for a global organisation, who have a large shared services team based in NSW. Given the size of the company, there is an extremely high volume of transactions processing at any one time, and the Banking team is responsible for ensuring these are processed accurately and efficiently as well as tracking variance. They are a fast paced environment requiring the successful candidate to be hands on and a quick thinker, as well as comfortable working with large volumes transactional data.


Position Details & Responsibilities
  • High volume of allocation of incoming payments to their respective accounts, ensuring that daily cash flow activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the reconciliation of bank statements and manage cash balances for multiple bank accounts.
  • Track variance discrepancies and follow up accordingly.
  • Ensure that all cash and banking transactions are accurately recorded in the financial system.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including finance, operations, and customers) to resolve any issues related to cash allocations or banking discrepancies.
  • Be a source of guidance to wider team, in handling escalated issues and maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits, as necessary.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience in a high volume transactional environment, with a specialisation in AR, (Banking, cash management, and allocations)
  • Happy to roll up sleeves and be hands on in assisting with day-to-day tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Competence with Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups/Pivot Tables)
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and banking platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Some leadership experience or being the point of contact for escalations.
