An exciting opportunity within an industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. This financial accountants' position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ accounting activities on a national scale. Initially, this role will commence as a contractual role, however there is the strong potential for this to be extended / become permanent.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Month-end accounting including journals and reconciliations.
- Preparation of monthly management reports and analysis of variances against budgets and forecasts
- Work with the business to drive favourable cash outcomes across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Inventory
- Ensure all transactional processes comply with accounting standards
- Identify and report process gaps and participate in continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ad-hoc analysis & insights that drives business objectives
- Professional accounting qualification CPA/CA (preferred)
- Superior Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant standards
- Experience in understanding complex financial reports
- Detailed understanding of Financial Systems
- Strong people skills and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
