About the role
An exciting opportunity within an multinational FMCG/Retail organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. This Senior Accountant position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ accounting activities on a national scale. Initially, this role will commence as a 12 month fixed term contract, however there is the strong potential for this to be extended / become permanent.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Month end closing including the end of month journals posting, Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation, monthly management reporting and analysis.
- Labour accounting including site-level labour costs, employee provisions, commission calculations, bonus schemes and business associate program.
- Accounting for newly acquired entities and lead integration into the consolidated group.
- Support direct reports with accounting for capital expenditure and operating expenses.
- Accounting for trade debtors and provision for expected credit loss
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
- CA or CPA qualified
- A background in a Big 4 organisation, with a focus in Business Services is an advantage
- Experience in multi-site / multi-channel businesses
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central)
- Corporate and development are highly encouraged
