Our client is an exciting Australian-owned gaming company looking to grow their team. This is an opportunity for a strong Financial Accountant to join a fast-paced startup with a fun and flexible culture. For the right candidate, this role does have the ability to sponsor visas.
You will be joining a small and highly collaborative finance team. This is a newly created role that will give you the opportunity to grow your skills across both financial and management accounting. This role will also have one direct report.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Month-end management reporting.
- Month-end reconciliations.
- Preparation of audit committee and board reporting.
- Prepare year-end tax calculations and partner closely with the tax team.
- Manage 1x direct report.
- Support system implementations and internal improvements.
- Assist with external audits.
- Facilitate payroll functions.
- Provide accounting advisory.
- Handle ad-hoc requests.
- CA/CPA qualification.
- Experience as a Senior Big 4 first mover or Mid Tier first mover.
- A willingness to be challenged and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with prior examples of stakeholder management experience.
