The Position 

This Risk and Quality Advisor is with one of our clients in the NFP space, who operate in the community services and support sector. In this role you will be a part of the WHS team and report to the General Manager of Safety & Risk, daily you will be supporting the Risk & Quality Assurance Manager and working alongside another Risk and Quality Advisor. You will be best suited for this role if you love a fast-paced environment and are prepared to hit the ground running.
  
In this role you will be focused on assurance and compliance to ensure accreditation against various frameworks such as NDIS Practice Standards and the National Standards for Mental Health Services for the business. You will be instrumental in monitoring and reporting on assurance management, quality management and risk management frameworks, to support leaders across the business to ensure regulatory obligations are met. You will also be involved in supporting the wider safety functioning through the development of policies and procedures, delivery of training, incident management and feedback management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct internal risk-based audits in accordance with the Three Lines Model of Assurance, including the development and review of audit tools to potential or actual gaps and improvement opportunities;
  • Lead the coordination of external quality audits;
  • Monitor and report on feedback, quality, and risk activities, analysing trends and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies;
  • Conduct data analysis and contribute to the development of reports to support risk and quality performance outcomes;
  • Lead the implementation of new or updated policies and procedures to ensure legislative, regulatory, contractual and organisation requirements are met;
  • Support the delivery of training for leaders focusing on feedback, risk, and quality management, including systems, procedures, and legislation.

Skills and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience as a Risk & Quality Advisor or related role;
  • Demonstrated experience in auditing and accreditation frameworks, risk and quality management, as well as experience in auditing compliance with legislation and National standards;
  • Understanding of quality accreditation processes, business excellence and continuous improvement processes;
  • Experience using risk and quality systems is mandatory, experience using RiskMan will come highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated experience in the Not-for-Profit, aged care, health care, community services or similar sector will come highly regarded; 
  • Obtain or willing to obtain and Blue and Yellow Card;
