About the role
As a Quality Lead you will manage daily quality operations, ensuring accurate documentation, handling non-conformances, and implementing corrective and preventative actions. You will be responsible for conducting QC tests on finished goods, raw materials, and across national store networks. The role also includes generating product specifications, such as allergen labeling, and overseeing international shipment documentation.
In this role, you will collaborate with manufacturing, production, and other departments to drive quality improvements and lead training sessions, including Toolbox Talks. You will investigate customer and franchisee inquiries, maintain quality assurance systems in manufacturing and warehousing, and ensure compliance with quality accreditations and audits (e.g., Coles, Halal, SQF). This position will also manage and coach one direct report.
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality role within food manufacturing.
- Experience working with SQF audits.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and HACCP.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and project management skills.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work 5 days on site.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
