The role
The company are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Coordinator to join the team and ensure the seamless implementation of the quality assurance systems onsite. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with BRC, HACCP, and other food safety standards, overseeing internal audits, and driving a strong food safety and quality culture.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and insurance requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure full implementation of the Quality Assurance Systems across the site.
- Lead and manage internal audits for food safety and quality, ensuring compliance with BRC and HACCP standards.
- Act as the main contact for external audits, liaising with auditors before, during, and after audits.
- Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures, including microbiological sampling and testing of ingredients, products, and environments.
- Conduct monthly GMP audits, work with stakeholders to close corrective actions, and track improvements.
- Review quality checks of products, including weight verification.
- Monitor and report on microbiological and environmental swabbing results, updating swab plans as needed.
- Food Technology or Science qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in quality assurance roles, specifically high care.
- Solid understanding of HACCP principles.
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication (verbal and written).
- Ability to be self-managed in a fast paced environment.
