As a Product Developer in Electronics, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and launch of new electronic products. You will collaborate closely with category managers and negotiate with overseas suppliers to ensure our products meet quality standards, budget requirements, and market demands. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development:
- Research and identify market trends to inform product development.
- Design and prototype new electronic products in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Manage the product development lifecycle from concept through to market launch.
- Supplier Negotiation:
- Establish and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers to source components and materials.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective production.
- Conduct supplier assessments to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with category managers to align product offerings with market needs and company strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and sales, to ensure successful product launches.
- Provide input on product positioning, branding, and promotional strategies.
- Quality Assurance:
- Oversee product testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Address any production or design issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate product development documentation and records.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, timelines, and budgets to management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, preferably within the electronics industry.
- Comfortable working with a high SKU count category
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with overseas suppliers, ideally in China.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in excel, ideal Pivot Tables
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of market trends in electronics and consumer preferences.
