We’re on the hunt for a skilled Procurement Officer to join our clients team!

As our Procurement Officer, you'll be the mastermind behind sourcing the goods and services that keep Ionopticks running smoothly. You'll negotiate great deals, ensure top-notch quality, and build strong vendor relationships.

Plus, you'll manage non-conformances, SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Requests), CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and change processes, all while keeping everything in line with our Quality Management System (QMS).
You'll also work closely with management to improve procurement processes and keep everyone informed with clear, detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of supplies.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Manage non-conformance issues with suppliers, initiating SCAR and CAPA processes as required
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies when necessary.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper storage and distribution of procured items.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and delivery receipts.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and QMS requirements.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and stock levels.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc procurement reports to management as required, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
Key selection criteria:
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
  • Experience in the industry related to the organization’s operations, or similar
  • Experience with QMS and managing SCAR, CAPA, and change processes
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite/G-suite
  • Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance data, and stock levels
  • Knowledge of relevant procurement laws, regulations, and quality management systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification such as MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), Diploma of Procurement and Contracting, or Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting
