As Principal Advisor, Organisational Change, you will:
- Plan and execute change management activities, guided by the Change Management Framework, to support implementation of complex projects and reform initiatives within the portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with the Portfolio Change team, project managers, business units, and change champions to socialise, integrate and embed changes associated with key strategic priorities and objectives of the reform agenda into the organisational culture.
- Manage the overarching governance for the integration of specific changes, with respect to transformation and reform activity across the organisation.
- Manage and support a stakeholder engagement plan to establish which stakeholder activities are guided at the Transformation Office level, considering the unique characteristics and best engagement methods to enable strategic alignment to the
- reform agenda.
- Support ownership of solutions by the key stakeholder groups, ensuring planned activities are translated into actions and decisions.
- Manage and deliver the people and workforce transition planning, including IT considerations, where relevant.
- Manage transition activities into business operations through effective collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to guide, manage and integrate changes associated with key strategic priorities and objectives of the reform agenda into the organisational culture, and ensure appropriate coordination of change management activities and successful adoption of these changes.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering change management, communication and engagement strategies within a large-scale project/program environment.
- High level knowledge of contemporary and best practice change management frameworks and methodologies.
- Demonstrated understanding of the elements of project management including contemporary change management and business integration processes and strategies, ideally within a human services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in understanding and analysing operating processes and systems in a complex, multi-site organisation, and in an industrially sensitive environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the delivery of transformation initiatives across a large and complex public sector organisation.
- High level interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and negotiate with and influence others on sensitive and complex issues.
- Proven high level of written communication skills, with experience drafting a range of materials, from web text to presentations, reports and ‘Government’ style formal documents.
