The Opportunity
Our client are looking to hire a Payroll Officer to the business who will report through to the Payroll Manager directly, as well as having offshored support. You will take full ownership over ensuring the accurate and efficient undertaking of all associated end-to-end payroll duties as listed below for the business across Australia.
Job Responsibilities
- Processing fortnightly payroll for 1500+ employees
- Interpretation of the General Retail Industry Award
- Maintain accurate employee data including onboarding/terminations
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation & regulation
- Calculate and process superannuation, leave entitlements and other payroll-related adjustments
- Responding to payroll queries
- Provide support to the Payroll Manager with AD HOC reporting/project related tasks
- Previous payroll systems experience (Chris21, ADP, Oracle etc.)
- Previous experience in retail advantageous but not essential
- Willingness to identify and suggest process improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment
- Someone who is passionate about retail would be very attractive!
