An exciting opportunity has become available for a Payroll Officer to join a supportive and collaborative payroll team based in North Sydney. The company is conveniently located near public transport and offers the flexibility of working from home 1-2 days per week. The client is seeking either an experienced Payroll Officer or someone enthusiastic about payroll and eager to kickstart their career in this field. The Responsibilities:
- Weekly payroll processing
- Assist with commission payments
- Process superannuation, payroll tax etc.
- Assist with payroll calculations and general duties such as maintaining employee database, entering new hires etc.
- Ensure all relevant awards are adhered to.
- Chase approvals from Manager when needed.
- Communicate effectively with all levels in the business including store teams and senior management.
- Respond to all employee queries (face to face, telephone, email).
- Administer employee payroll and records, including engagement, deductions, superannuation allowances, reimbursements, leave and other related matters.
