Our client is a leading business in their industry, experiencing growth nationwide. Fortunately, our client prides itself in taking care of their employees. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to to join their fast paced environment on a permanent basis, based in Melbourne's CBD. You will be required to take control of the autonomous position in an end to end role!
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, your duties will encompass Payroll, Workcover and HR functions. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited too:
- Weekly payroll processing for approximately 200+ staff
- Interpreting awards and EBAs
- PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation payments
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Providing accurate information in response to employee queries
- Enter, file and update all Work Cover claims and co-ordinate return to work processes
- Support various managers with processing and maintaining documentation for training and development, and employee performance reviews
- Assist with employee inductions
- Other admin/finance functions as required
- Reporting duties
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Officer role as well as the following attributes:
- Demonstrate a willingness and ability to collaborate with and within a team environment
- Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Minimum 3-years similar experience
- Prior experience with Dayforce HCM is highly desirable
