Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of building products. Due to an upcoming vacancy in the team, they are looking for a dedicated payroll specialist to join their team immediately. Our client is a leader within their industry and is searching for a candidate who can jump in and help the team from Day 1.
Position Description
Working within the Payroll and finance teams, your daily tasks will include:
- Payroll processing for a large volume of staff (400+ employees) using ADP
- PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover, and Superannuation payments
- Ensuring accurate and timely process of payroll administration including compliance with statutory requirements
- Processing new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Calculating redundancies
- Other tasks as directed
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes:
- MUST have Previous payroll experience with Micropay
- Kronos or similar time and attendance system experience
- High-volume payroll processing experience - the ability to run weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Experience working in a large organisation
