Located in the CBD, this position is a great opportunity for a payroll officer looking for their next challenge.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager and working within a team of 7, your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- End to end weekly and monthly payroll processing for 5000 employees
- Provide accurate and timely processing for all payroll/P&C transactions including sound and timely advice, guidance and support to staff, clients and stakeholders
- Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, employees and other stakeholders to support and facilitate a high level of payroll services
- Undertake the input and analysis of data, including ensuring accuracy, effective security, storage and distribution of data, records and reports
- Deliver a range of effective payroll administrative tasks including managing processes, providing services, responding to queries, advising on policy and process and producing reports in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes
- Provide high levels of customer service in accordance with best practice guidelines, policy and procedure
- Maintain service standards including prompt issues resolution and adherence to privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements
- Participate in and implement continuous improvement activities relating to service practices, quality assurance and customer service excellence
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Experience working within medium/large scale organisations
- SAP/SuccessFactors (EC/ECP) experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
