About the role.
As the teams Metallurgist, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing metal material processing techniques. You will lead research initiatives, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge materials solutions into our advanced manufacturing processes.
You will refine additive manufacturing processes and oversee in-house testing and supplier networks. Additionally, you will provide technical support to internal teams and customers, collaborate with international colleagues in Europe and the US and contribute to customer engagement through expert materials science advice. Your role will also involve supporting problem-solving initiatives in materials engineering and quality control.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering or related.
- Experience in materials engineering with expertise in hard metals preferred.
- Experience with additive manufacturing and cold spray technology is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of materials testing, quality assurance, and process optimization.
- Ability to lead projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with defense sector projects; ability to obtain security clearance (must-have).
- Experience working across engineering, manufacturing, and business development teams.
