DUTIES
Working closely with the General Manager, Communications and Capacity Building and other stakeholders the Manager, Capacity Building will have responsibility to provide a high level of event management across a range of programs.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties and activities including:
- Modelling AgriFutures Australia values and behaviours
- Management of RDC Communications Meetings
- Managing, implementing and developing new strategies for the AgriFutures Australia’s People and Leadership programs such as Rural Women’s Awards, Horizons Scholarship program, Ignite Network and Rural Women’s Award Alumni program
- Management of content that is shared across the social media groups attached to the program that sit in the People and Leadership programs such as Ignite, RWA Alumni, Horizons etc.) alongside the Manager, Communications
- Commissioning, negotiating, contracting, and managing administration around People and Leadership programs (monitor progress, milestones and payments)
- Managing agreements and entitlements for all sponsorships that AgriFutures participates in
- Ensuring highest level of ROI and leveraging of all sponsorships that AgriFutures participates in
- Ensuring programs are consistent with strategic plan (or plans) as well as the organisations five-year strategic plan
- Provide reporting and statistics to the Board, Senate Estimate reporting etc
- Building and maintaining a network of private and public investment relationships targeted at specific industries and/or the wider rural sector in order to meet the goals or targets set out within the People and Leadership program’s
- Building and maintaining communications across People and Leadership programs including media and social media platforms, events and workshops and partnering with external programs that align with People and Leadership strategic direction of the business
- Developing, implementing, managing and being accountable for delivery budgets and program financial performance
- Management of preparation of all communications content regarding the People and Leadership programs such as social announcements (imagery and copy), newsletters, media releases etc.
- Management of external communication, design consultancies and event requirements
- Effective management of staff
- Other duties as required and working across teams/functions during peak periods.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Tertiary qualification in communications / marketing / events or equivalent relevant experience
- Extensive experience in a communications / marketing / events or related field
- Event management and / or project management experience
- Demonstrated experience of stakeholder liaison, management, and engagement
- Proficient in all major forms of social media. Demonstrated experience in development and management of multiple commercial / business social media accounts and campaigns
- Demonstrated experience working with design programs (e.g. Adobe Suite) and database management systems
- Demonstrated organisational skills and track record of meeting deadlines
- Practical knowledge and skills of programs
- Familiar with video conferencing / webinar programs
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office products
- Awareness of Rural Industries and communities desirable but not essential.
