Our client is a well-established, ASX-listed organisation with a robust finance function comprising 50+ people. Off the back of a successful 2024, the business is set for continued growth in 2025. As part of this expansion, a newly created role has emerged for a finance professional to join their high-performing team and contribute to critical financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting processes.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial finance activities. You'll work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to provide meaningful insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Variance Analysis: Identify and articulate key drivers behind variances between actual results and forecasts, providing clear commentary for business partners.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with teams across the business to deliver accurate annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Financial Modelling: Build and maintain financial models to support business cases and strategic initiatives.
- Year-End Reporting: Assist with year-end reporting requirements and manage audit-related queries from external auditors.
- Operational Support: Partner with operational leaders to inform financial and strategic decision-making.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly management reports and joint venture financial updates.
- CA or CPA qualified (essential)
- Experience in a Big 4 or Mid-Tier accounting firm is highly regarded
- Strong analytical thinking, with attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business
