They are now looking for a technically strong and commercially savvy Management Accountant to join their Melbourne-based finance team for a long-term contract role.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant role is broad and hands-on, where you will leverage your technical expertise while providing valuable commercial support to key stakeholders across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining detailed weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasts
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
- Managing transactional banking activities
- Assisting with treasury processes
- Managing the annual insurance renewal process and banking facility renewals
- Actively participating as a key contact during the annual audit process
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Providing ad hoc accounting and finance support as required
You will be CA/CPA qualified and a highly motivated, high-calibre candidate with previous experience working in a commercially focused environment. You will demonstrate a strong technical understanding, paired with commercial awareness. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
