About the Role:
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leasing Lawyer to support their retail leasing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial property law and a proven track record of negotiating and managing lease agreements. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that their leasing practices align with the business objectives while minimizing legal risks.
In this role you will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate lease agreements for retail locations.
- Provide legal advice on leasing matters, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the real estate and operations teams, to align leasing strategies with business goals.
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessments related to leasing transactions.
- Manage disputes related to lease agreements, working closely with external counsel as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive legal documentation related to leasing activities.
- Admitted to practice in Victoria
- Minimum of 3 years retail leasing experience
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
