Position Overview:
The Inventory Manager will oversee all aspects of inventory management ensuring optimal stock levels, accuracy, and timely fulfillment of client orders. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of inventory management within a 3PL environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing best practices, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with various departments to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Control: Develop, implement, and maintain inventory management systems and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient stock control.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor inventory levels, track key metrics, and analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of inventory specialists to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and distribution teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to optimize inventory levels, manage lead times, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and other key metrics to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within a 3PL or logistics environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems), and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement
