Reporting to the Managing Director and a member of the Leadership Team, the Head of Digital Marketing role is primarily responsible for developing and overseeing delivery of our overall digital marketing strategy across direct and reseller channels in supporting the delivery of commercial targets.
Responsible for crafting strategies, managing budgets, setting goals for marketing teams; ensuring consistent brand messaging; analysing customer and consumer behaviour; demonstrating leadership skills to strengthen our clients digital market presence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy: Responsible for the development, execution and metrics of all digital marketing strategies, refined specifically by channel and sub-brand to achieve growth and profit goals and optimise the customer experience
- Brand Development: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and influencers to drive awareness and amplify our brand message.
- Stay current with and understand external market dynamics and the competitive landscape to identify market gaps and trends, product development, margin opportunities, marketing communications, etc.
- Budget: Manage and report on the marketing budget and spend; ensure there are appropriate financial and people resources, within agreed plan, to deliver keys results;
- Understand and analyse the P&L and other data to measure and drive profitability and evaluate effectiveness.
- Analysis: Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor strategies to optimise digital marketing effectiveness and assess new market opportunities for the brand in both marketing and sales and ways to improve customer acquisition and retention across the business.
- Track, report on, and interpret digital traffic, conversion, ROAS, pipeline growth etc, and product performance;
- Set and monitor key performance indicators for various digital marketing channels;
- Leadership: Lead, develop, motivate, provide feedback to marketing teams with accountabilities including business unit performance, brand marketing, content creation; recruit to ensure resourcing is appropriately allocated, supported and accountable.
- Working cross-functionally: work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business, including IT, sales, operations, finance, aligning to optimise resources and ensuring there is buy-in and understanding about future campaigns;
- The Head of Digital Marketing is an active member of the Australian leadership Team and liaises directly with counterparts in the UK, EU and USA to ensure sharing of best practice / priority projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Marketing or Business studies degree qualified;
- Minimum 10+ years experience in established Consumer B2B / B2C or Retail / D2C marketing functions;
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing marketing strategy, e-commerce experience and experience managing a CRM;
- Proficiency in digital marketing channels such as Digital Advertising Social Media, EDM marketing, SEO;
- Strategic mindset to competitively position the brand within the market;
- Capability to develop and execute customer-centric marketing strategies;
- Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviours;
- Digital Marketing Proficiency - must have a strong grasp of digital marketing channels and techniques;
- Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration - fostering a creative and collaborative environment, setting clear goals, and guiding teams through complex projects;
- Communication and Influence - articulating marketing plans, persuading stakeholders, and crafting messages that resonate with various audiences;
- Empowering the team - with creativity and empathy, while steering strategy and innovation to excel in the marketing landscape.
