The Company

Sharp & Carter are currently partnering with an organisation who have operations in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, to help source a General Manager of WA/SA based North of the River in Perth.

The Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the development and execution of business operations, ensuring smooth management and control of various functions through a family-centric approach. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, this position will be responsible for leading a team of 6 direct reports spread across Western Australia and South Australia. Regular travel to South Australia is essential for building strong business relationships and effectively driving operational performance.

Primary Accountabilities of this role include:
  • Creating and maintaining high performance culture.
  • Increase market share.
  • Leverage stakeholder relationships.
  • Create and support alignment of local brand strategies.
  • Adhere to HSE standards.
  • Leverage operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement proactive strategies that focus on accountability, hazard identification and elimination whilst controlling risks.
  • Embed values and behaviours by developing Personal, Team, Business and Community Leadership capability.
  • Grow service proposition across entire network through targeted use of learning programs (training) - Measured by Employee Engagement and Turnover.
  • Advance customer connection to build loyalty and engagement.
  • Deliver service through brands that are the compelling choice creating brand connection through excellence in customer satisfaction.
  • Design, plan and implement strategies that deliver excellent service and drive market leading revenue and profit outcomes.
  • Deliver productivity improvement enabling cost reduction.
  • Ensure benefit delivery and process improvement.
  • Improve liquidity by reducing receivables and improving investment planning and execution.
  • Ensure absolute compliance to all Policy, Procedures and Code of Conduct and manage all exceptions to the agreed framework and notification process.

  • Proven high level financial management skills including asset management.
  • Demonstrated creativity in the development of innovative solutions required within a complex environment.
  • Significant leadership experience and ability to manage through influence with a broad and diverse stakeholder group.
Desirable:
  • Successfully delivered large initiatives.
  • Proven high level financial management skills including asset management, awareness of project accounting and activity-based costing.
  • Experience in footprint development.
  • Experience in consumer behaviour/research and consumer marketing.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in business or related discipline.
