About the role & Company
Due to business growth & internal movements, a reputable national manufacturing company based in Western Sydney is searching for the next strong Finance Manager ready to step up into Financial Controller role. Exciting opportunity for an individual who is driven with strong core financial accounting knowledge to partner with the CFO and drive growth over the next 3-5 years.


The Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CFO, your main responsibilities will include:  
  • Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee financial statement preparation, month-end/year-end closing, and maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control: Lead budgeting processes, monitor budget variances, manage manufacturing costs, and implement cost control measures to support strategic decision-making.
  • Cash Flow, Working Capital & Inventory Management: Manage cash flow, Fx, optimise working capital, oversee inventory accounting, and ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
  • Compliance, Audit & Tax Management: Ensure regulatory compliance, manage audits, handle tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and support professional development.
  • Strategic Support & ERP Implementation: Provide financial insights for strategic decisions, manage risk, and oversee finance ERP system integration and consolidation.

Skills and Experience 
  • CA/CPA qualified with max 7-10 years progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of the retail, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors with a large multinational is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience in consolidating multi-business unit reporting
  • Communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate
