About the role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role oversees the financial operations of the company’s Darra, Capalaba and Sydney facilities. It offers a blend of leadership, reporting and strategic business partnering responsibilities. You’ll lead a small on-site finance team, manage end-to-end financial reporting and provide high-quality analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and internal reporting
- Lead, support and develop a small, high-performing finance team
- Work closely with operational and commercial leaders to provide insights, guidance and strategic support
- Oversee month-end processes including accruals, journals, fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Prepare financial models to support decision-making on pricing, capital projects and new initiatives
- Liaise with external auditors, banking partners and tax advisors
- Manage local fixed asset register and inventory controls
- CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, planning and analysis
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
- Commercial acumen and the ability to operate as a trusted business partner
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is advantageous
