Our client is a nationally recognised infrastructure group located in a growing metropolitan region in Western Sydney. The organization has recently secured large government funding and have plans for further growth and expansion. This newly created Financial Accountant role will report into an highly experienced Head of Finance and play a key role in monthly and yearly reporting, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting accurate financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensuring timely and accurate closure of financial books at the end of each month and year, preparing for audits, and reviewing financial data for consistency.
- Preparing tax returns, ensuring that the organization complies with relevant financial regulations and tax laws.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and projections to help guide financial decision-making.
- Assisting in the analysis of financial data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement, and providing insights to management for strategic decisions.
Your Profile
- 3-4 years' experience in a Big 4 or Mid-tier chartered accounting firm, or in a large multi-site heavy manufacturing or infrastructure organization.
- CA/CPA/ACCA qualified.
- Ideally you would be immediately available to start, or have a 1-2 weeks' notice period.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax regulations and audit compliance.
- You are a self-starter, driven to learn and advance your career in a high-performing setting.
