Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. In this key role, you will manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. You will be working in a collaborative environment with senior finance leaders and other departments, with a focus on delivering high-quality financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with both local and international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain and monitor the general ledger to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Perform financial analysis, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure proper financial control and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of best practices in financial reporting.
The Candidate
- CA/CPA qualification or near completion.
- Previous experience in financial reporting or similar roles, preferably within a multinational business or Chartered environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS
- Proficient with ERP/ financial systems and advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
