Our client is a leading wholesaler specializing in the distribution of high-quality consumer products. They work with a diverse range of brands, and their commitment to excellence in both their products and customer service has driven continued success. The organisation is expanding operations and is looking for a competent and determined 'Financial Accountant' to join the finance function.
Role:
You will report to the Head of Finance and will have the opportunity to progress to a Senior Financial Accountant in the near future.
Some responsibilities, including but not limited to, will be:
- Manage and oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to senior management.
- Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare tax filings and manage VAT/GST compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales and inventory, to streamline financial processes and improve business outcomes.
- Assist with audits and financial reviews, working closely with external auditors.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and accounting best practices.
- CA/CPA Qualification
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within the consumer products or wholesale industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- A proactive, determined approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
