About the position:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Accountant to join a high functioning, nimble, finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Big 4 or Mid-Tier firms, with a solid track record in financial accounting and commercial acumen gained in a large organisation. This role will report to the Financial Controller and will involve a broad range of corporate accounting activities across both financial & management accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis.
- Manage end-of-month journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigation and resolution of accounting discrepancies, movements, and irregularities.
- Attending to general ledger reconciliations and maintenance of associated workbooks.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for stakeholder packs.
- Supporting the audit process including preparation of audit workpapers and responding to audit queries.
- Monthly review of asset capitalisation including, liaise with site team, maintenance of documentation and execution is SAP.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 or Mid-Tier firm preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in SAP or large ERP systems preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional work ethic and ability to work as part of a team to achieve deadlines
