Operating in the industrial and service sector, this lead role will see you join their fastest growing division with a genuine pathway to CFO available.
The Role
Reporting to the Group CFO this role will see you sit in a "Head of" Finance role for their fast growing division. A recent largescale acquisition will see their turnover grow to over $300M. Your primary focus will be:
- Lead and manage the day to day financial control of the national division.
- Drive process improvement across financial reporting and finance operations.
- System integration, consolidation of processes and improvements to bring the national business and recent acquisitions on one platform.
- Month-end close activities and board reporting.
- Balance Sheet accuracy.
- Monitor financial activities and investigate & report variances.
- Manage the audit process for the division.
- Support the FP&A team with inputs into forecast and budgets.
- Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Oversee Payroll and Accounts Payable / receivable functions.
- Daily operating cash management and cash flow forecasting.
- Compliance activities.
As the Divisional Controller you will be embedded in the business finance operations. This role is very much a ‘value add’ and visible finance role so your ability to foster and build relationships at both a corporate and a site level will be critical.
You will come from a medium sized 'industrial service' industry such as logistics, supply chain or industrial B2B where you will have strong experience working in a blue collar field. You will be CA/CPA qualified, technically capable with a natural commercial lens and at the point in your career where you are a seasoned controller looking for a move into a CFO role in the next 12-18 months. Due to operations across the Eastern seaboard this role requires travel 1-2 times a month interstate.
