As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing the commercial performance of the business, with a focus on fuel, convenience, and food & beverage operations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that support decision-making and drive profitability. Your ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate key trends will be critical in shaping business strategy and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track key business metrics.
- Provide insights into product volumes, pricing, and operational performance.
- Perform variance analysis on actuals versus budget and forecast.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
- Prepare financial models to evaluate business scenarios and investment opportunities.
- Work with internal stakeholders to optimise processes and drive commercial outcomes.
- Ensure financial controls and compliance measures are in place.
- Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
You are a highly analytical and commercially astute finance professional who enjoys working with stakeholders across the business. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving, you bring the ability to translate data into meaningful insights that support business growth.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a Management Accountant or Finance / Commercial analyst position.
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Part or full qualification in CPA or CA.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience preferred.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, or hospitality industries is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
