The Position 

The Change Lead will play a key role in the success of organisational change including business processes, technologies, organisational structures, job roles and system changes. You will prepare the organisation for change, ensure maximum benefits and mitigate negative impacts to staff and external customers. Implementation of change management strategies is key to ensure an efficient rate of adoption and address all issues of resistance to change, both large and small. You will work with the Board, Executive Leadership Team, leader cohort, internal auditor cohort, consultants and external contractors, and all project teams, HR, and relevant departments. This is a three-year term contract which can be based in the corporate head office in Gladstone, or work from the Brisbane office and travel to Gladstone on a regular, weekly to fortnightly basis.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an organisational change management strategy that accords to GAWB’s operating environments and needs;
  • Develop and implement the corporate suite of change management documentation and supporting tools for widespread use across the business;
  • Define success metrics and monitor change progress and establish a change management reporting regime;
  • Identify potential risks and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns and monitor and report on project milestones and highlight risks or issues requiring attention;
  • Conduct change impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, human resources, organisational development or relevant industry experience in change management;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to influence others and move toward a common vision and goal;
  • Experience with medium to large-scale organisational change efforts;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment and management multiple priorities;
  • Change management certification in PROSCI or ACMP will come highly regarded.
