Our client is a large, Australian retail brand whos is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a 2 month contract. The role focuses on general ledger reconciliations and is best suited to someone who has worked in a fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions and can hit the ground running. The office is based in Alexandria and will require the individual to work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.
The responsibilities
- Daily bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Investigating account discrepancies and rectifying
- Resolving account inquiries as quickly as possible.
- Managing supplier remittance details, ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Supporting the project team with ad-hoc requests
- Experience in a similar accounting role
- Must have worked in a fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions
- AP21 experience is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Option to extend
