An exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a highly reputable and large organisation located in Macquarie Park, Sydney, offering 2 days work from home and located within 5 minutes walk from Macquarie Park Metro.

You will work within the finance accounting team and report to the Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes which incorporate the following:
- Monitoring and managing shared Accounts inboxes and responding to queries and emails from internal stakeholders, external customers, and vendors.
- Timely processing of creditors' invoices, including matching invoices to purchase orders and quantity/amounts, coding to relevant GL codes and cost centres and ensuring appropriate approval from relevant personnel.
- Reconciliation and investigation of vendors’ statements and liaising with vendors to promptly resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Responsible for following up on outstanding intercompany and external customer invoices, ensuring prompt payment clearing and allocation of receipts.
- Processing the weekly payments run and distributing remittances.
- Preparing the weekly Cash Flow forecast
- Assisting in Balance sheet reconciliations including identifying and investigating variance and following up to close out variances
- Assist in validating the pricing and accruals to ensure the accurate and timely calculation of rebates for transfer sales and the distribution of payments.

- Previous SAP S4HANA or ECC experience. Any other large ERP system e.g. Oracle etc, may also be highly regarded.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commercial mindset
- A sense of urgency and to be self-motivated and proactive
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills (both oral and written) with attention to detail.
