The Role
If you have minimum 2 years experience as an Assistant Accountant, keep reading! Reporting directly to the Finance Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Preparation of monthly BAS returns for review
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and tax requirements.
- Ensuring the fixed asset register and prepayments register are reconciled and balances to the general ledger
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have recently obtained tertiary qualifications in an accounting or business degree. You will have professional experience as well as basic knowledge of accounting standards. Candidates will have exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to demonstrate initiative and attention to detail.
- Minimum 2 years as an Assistant Accountant
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Profficient with excel
- Expereience with debits and credits
- Studying or planning to study CPA program
