An exciting immediate start role with a global industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Assistant Accountant position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a 3 month contractual assignment.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Performing month-end processes with a focus on ensuring accuracy of all operating expenses and intercompany reconciliations.
- Preparing payment requests and sending to the Accounts Payable team for processing.
- Involvement in rent accruals and vehicle leasing.
- Coordinating and partnering with broader finance team and other departments to deliver monthly results.
- Reviewing and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Reporting monthly results for regions on a timely basis each month
- Assisting with periodic Budgeting and Forecasting processes
- Ad-hoc projects as and when required
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process and efficiency
- Other ad-hoc transactional tasks.
