The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Team Leader to join the finance team and play a key role in leading day-to-day operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring others, driving process improvements, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all aspects of accounts payable.

You’ll be responsible for guiding a dedicated team, managing workloads, and supporting critical functions such as reconciliations, payments, and supplier engagement. Working within a high-performing and stable business, this role offers the chance to step into a leadership position where your contributions are valued and your ideas welcomed. 


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team within accounts payable
• Oversee allocation of urgent payments and daily cashflow
• Review and authorise team payments, ensuring discounts and rebates are applied correctly.
• Support team with the delivery of reconciliations, reporting and payments
• Provide training, coaching and performance feedback to team members.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders professionally and promptly.
• Support process improvements and assist with key reporting and reconciliations.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience leading finance or accounts payable teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and take ownership of outcomes.
• Proactive and solutions-focused, with a genuine “can-do” attitude.
