Our client is a well-established mining services business operating across Western Australia. Their strong reputation in the industry has led to continued success, creating an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Officer to join their close knit team on a permanent basis.
The Role
The Accounts Officer will report directly to the Finance Manager and supporting the accounting and finance team with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function as well as ad-hoc support such as payroll and bookkeeping as and when required. The role is responsible but not limited to:
The Accounts Officer will report directly to the Finance Manager and supporting the accounting and finance team with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function as well as ad-hoc support such as payroll and bookkeeping as and when required. The role is responsible but not limited to:
- Provide financial administrative support in end-to-end accounts receivable and payable deliverables.
- Perform reconciliation of creditor’s accounts and follow up outstanding supplier statement balances.
- The role contributes to resolving accounting and finance system problems with team members and customers and provides information and advice to customers on a course of action appropriate to their needs.
- Processing of payroll accurately and efficiently, including calculations for terminations, super, PAYG, and deductions.
- PAYG, Payroll Tax, STP and Superannuation payments.
- Ensuring accurate and timely process of payroll administration including compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure a high level of quality customer service and professionalism to all staff, debtors and clients
- Build relationships with their major clients and accounts.
- Allocating and receipting of payments
- 3-5 years as an Accounts Officer/Accounts Assistant level with AR/AP + payroll experience is essential.
- Experience with Myob or Xero highly desirable
- Intermediate/Advance with Excel
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
