The Role | Reporting to the Group Finance Manager
Duties will include:
- Coordinate and prepare monthly journals, assist with accruals, provision accounting and payroll related entries.
- Prepare key Balance Sheet reconciliations in a timely manner with commentary on reconciliation items which require addressing
- Assisting in preparation of end of month group related reporting and submissions. Provide financial analysis, including variance analysis and commentary for management reporting.
- Identify and assist in implementing documentation and process improvements within the finance team with a keen focus on internal control
- Prepare group reporting (monthly, quarterly, half year and year end)
- Perform balance sheet maintenance and reconciliations
- Participation in the execution of the external and internal audit plan
- Support Payroll
- Participating in budget and forecasting processes
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks and reporting
You will have an excellent technical accounting base with a proven ability to handle a varied workload. To succeed, you will have an ability to balance your detail-driven personality with the capacity to understand the bigger picture. You will have minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role and have completed or are currently studying your CA/CPA. Other requirements include:
- CA/CPA qualified, with at least 3 years industry experience preferable.
- Demonstrated experience in a corporate and large group consolidation position.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines while having excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of other MS Office applications.
- FMCG experience will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with Pronto or other large accounting systems will be considered an advantage.
- Option to work a 9-day fortnight to receive a day in lieu

- $90,000 - $100,000 Plus Superannuation
