Our client is a leading Not-For-Profit organisation who provide critical support services to a number of Australians in need. They are currently seeking a hands on Payroll Manager to oversee a small team as well as manage key projects.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Head of HR Services, your daily tasks will include:
- Managing one Payroll Officer
- Managing a fortnightly payroll for approximately 700 employees
- Managing team performance and ensuring the payroll is released on time and accurately.
- Payroll reconciliations, PAYG calculations and award interpretation.
- Ongoing governance and compliance.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvements within the payroll function
- Payroll reporting as well as leading other ad hoc payroll projects
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Manager/Supervisory position along with the following attributes:
- End to end payroll knowledge, including payroll reconciliations and working with EBA's
- Experience with Chris21/iChris is essential at this stage
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Well-organized, positive, pro-active and able to work in a team environment
- Best practice mindset, and ability to drive continuous improvement
