Role & Responsibilities
Join a supportive and dynamic environment, and assist in leading a small team in ensuring that payroll is processed accurately. Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Providing support to the Payroll Manager - oversee and assist with the efficient functioning of a medium sized payroll team
- Ensure the weekly payroll is processed accurately
- Assist with system improvements & upgrades
- Ongoing systems administration work to ensure efficiencies and upgrades, to meet business requirements and regulatory standards
- Interpretation of various / relevant EBA's, awards and entitlements
- Calculations of payroll tax, superannuation and work cover
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Handle escalated payroll queries
- Identify areas of improvement and present to management
- Communicate business changes with team as required
- Additional tasks to assist the Payroll Manager and boarder team
Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:
- Prior leadership experience and a keen desire to further develop / grow
- Great knowledge with EBA’s and Awards
- Experience in process improvement and system administration is desired, but not essential
- An approachable persona with a proactive approach to work
- Previous experience in high volume processing
- The ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders with strong communication skills
