The Role

This role will be responsible for supporting the Executive Manager, Finance with the oversight and management of finance operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliations, vendor management, inter-entity transactions, and defined benefit cost recovery processes. You will also be responsible for leading an Assistant Finance Analyst and an Accounts Payable Officer.
  
Key Responsibilities 
  • Provide effective coaching and mentoring to direct reports, ensuring that KPIs provide reasonable stretch.
  • Manage the accounts payable & accounts receivable functions.
  • Manage the correct coding of invoice payments in the general ledger.
  • Manage the timely payment of invoices.
  • Manage the reconciliation, on-time payment and allocation of credit card expenses.
  • Manage the vendor database, including deactivating vendors that are no longer used.
  • Maintain the approved signatory list.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the Tax Agent as it relates to indirect tax matters.
  • Provide financial advice and support to the Executive Manager, Finance, Chief Executive Officer, Group Executive Team and Board of Directors, as required.
  • Provision of leadership and timely professional advice and support to the leadership group on the full range of finance related strategies, policies and procedures to ensure adherence to business objectives and directions, and legislative requirements.

The successful applicant will have proven Shared Services Management experience in a similar role, along with the following skills and attributes:

  • Impeccable communication skills.
  • The ability to liaise with a multitude of stakeholders.
  • Strong reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
