The Position 
As a key member of the finance team, you will report directly to the Finance Manager. Your primary role will involve overseeing technical accounting matters, with a particular emphasis on corporate and management reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and ensuring compliance standards are met. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert commercial advice and support to the Head of Finance and Finance Manager
  • Develop and review business cases, supporting the approval process, and assisting with delivery post-approval.
  • Manage business working capital holdings and ensure compliance with corporate processes and guidelines.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and control of long-term plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage operational improvements to meet business targets.
  • Provide quality information and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results.
  • Complete all monthly reporting within the corporate consolidation tool.
  • Provide analysis and commentary on financial results.
  • Liaise with external auditors and assist in the audit of financial records.
  • Complete intercompany account reconciliation processes and maintain the leased property register.
  • Provide ad-hoc functional reporting.
  • Ensure efficient operation of financial transactional processes.
  • Maintain integrity of Capital Expenditure WIP and Fixed Asset Register.
  • Capitalize capital expenditure projects into the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Determine asset impairment and revaluation.
  • Manage banking and treasury activities, including FX hedging.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Complete all other statutory reporting as required.
  • Manage internal controls and ensure business compliance.
  
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting position, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor of Commerce or similar degree.
  • CPA/CA qualification.
  • Previous experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Strong process design, development, and implementation skills.
  • Demonstrated business and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ethical with a strong sense of integrity.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and adaptability to change.
