If you are a commercial lawyer with strong drafting and negotiation skills and are looking for a broad based role In House within a highly reputable entity then this is an opportunity you should consider.

Sitting within a supportive team you will be involved in the following:
  • In a business partner capacity, providing all legal advice and assistance required to support the operations of the entity's home care business
  • drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, legal instruments, collateral and communications required in connection with home care, preventative health and virtual health initiatives
  • supporting responses to tenders for new health services business opportunities
  • providing regulatory advice relevant to the structuring and implementation of home care, preventative health and virtual health initiative
  • liaising with subject matter experts and external lawyers as required in connection with the entity's Health initiatives
  • assisting the entity to operate in accordance with legislative requirements, regulations and internal policies and procedures, and to understand legal risks.
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following:
  • At least 3 years’ post-qualification legal experience
  • Australia or NZ qualified 
  • Experience gained within a reputable commercial law firm and/or the in-house legal team of a recognized entity 
  • Exposure to a range of areas of commercial legal practice, including commercial contracting (health sector contracting desirable), procurement, privacy law compliance, regulation (private health insurance and/or health services regulation desirable) and intellectual property protection
  • Experience in providing commercially focused legal services to operational staff and business teams
  • The ability to undertake objective and critical analysis, present logical arguments and draw sound conclusions
  • The ability to work autonomously and prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and resolve conflicting requirements
  • Good judgment and be solutions oriented
  • Strong research, verbal and written communication skills, and good presentation skills
  • Strong ability to review, draft and edit documents
  • Sound coordination and project management skills
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
This entity is also open to considering someone Part Time.
